Build and Defend Your Raft How to Get Resources

Every wall, cannon, and Crafting Table tier in Build and Defend Your Raft is paid in resources. The official loop starts with collecting, then expanding, then unlocking better gear. This page is the how to get route: water crates, hull harvest, and raids that actually profit.

Water first, always

Hour one wood does not come from a neighbor’s chest. It floats. Circle your own hull. A harpoon or gather tool, once the Crafting Table prints it, pulls crates without a long swim. Keep it on hotbar slot one — controls.

Stay close enough that you can see your door. A crate on the horizon is bait. A raider will take your open chest while you chase one log. The loot checklist is the farm rule: door closed before you look down.

Dump into storage as soon as you have a box. A full backpack is loot you drop when you die. Dying with a bag of wood is how a quiet farm hour becomes someone else’s wall.

Do not sprint a wide circle of the whole 18-player map. That is sightseeing. Sightseeing is how you lose the hatch. One tight orbit around your barrels is enough until the bag is heavy. Then dump. Then orbit again. The loop is boring because it works.

What the water actually pays

Promo shots glow blue crates and wood stacks on purpose. Treat every pickup as table food first, cosmetics never. If a crate looks like scrap, it still feeds a tier. If it looks like a chair, leave it until the ring is closed. You are not decorating a screenshot. You are buying the next recipe.

A gather tool is not a raid tool. It is a vacuum for the lip of your own hull. Standing on a neighbor’s ladder with it out is how you get shot while holding a fishing stick. Swap to a fight tool before you climb. Swap back when you are home.

If the table has not unlocked a gather piece yet, you still farm with hands and swim. That is slower. It is also why feeding the table is the first spend, not the fifth. Raft priority exists so wood does not sit in a bag while the recipe that would print the harpoon is one click away.

What to spend the first stacks on

Do not sit on wood “for a mega wall.” Feed the table. Print floor until you have a 3x3. Then walls. That order is raft priority and how to build. Resources that sit in a bag on an open pallet are not yours.

If a code ever pays a bundle, treat it as water you did not click. Spend it the same way: table, floor, ring. What codes give is the spend list. As of 2 Sep 2026 there is still nothing to redeem. Do not paste chat strings while you farm. The GUI freeze is a free board for whoever is already swimming at you.

A common leak is “I will store this palm for later.” Later is a raider. Print the next defensive tile. Palms wait. So do flags, umbrellas, and matching chairs. The hour-100 thumbnail is a destination, not a shopping list for the first stack.

When raids become the farm

Raiding is the late collector. You steal stacks someone else already clicked. It is only profit if your home ring survives. Pick pallets, not plated boxes. Travel light. Come home and dump before the second swim. Raid loadouts exists so you do not farm with your entire armory.

A failed raid is negative wood. You spent time, maybe a kit, and maybe the chest you left open. If the lobby is loud, farm the water for ten more minutes instead of “getting wood faster.” Faster is a story people tell after they donate.

Scout from the water the same way official art teaches you to read a boat: frowning avatar on four planks is a target; spiked cannon keep is a project. If you cannot see their chest glow from a swim-up, you are not farming, you are starting a fight. Fights belong on how to raid, not on this page.

Crews can split the farm. One player orbits the home hull. One player takes a light steal kit. Nobody leaves until an anchor owns the door. Two gatherers with an open hatch is two backpacks for the first boarder.

Tools that skip clicks

Auto-collect and auto-harpoon pastes exist for this place. A public video even shows auto collect, auto chest, and ESP. They skip the boring circle. They also skip Roblox’s rules. If you still want one, read auto harpoon and how to use scripts. Fair players do not need them to finish the loop.

Do not download a “resource generator” EXE. That is malware wearing this game’s name. Do not log into a website that promises free wood for this place ID. Real resources come from the water, from a neighbor’s open pallet, or later from a real Shop code.

If a script fires while you are on someone else’s deck, you look like a bot and you eat a report. Keep any vacuum on your own hull, or do not run it. The fair orbit is slower and still fills a 3x3 before most lobbies peak.

Saturday and recipes

A Saturday patch can change what crates drop or what the table costs. After you load, screenshot the table, then farm. If wood feels weaker, the recipe moved. The live table is canon.

Do not farm a huge pile on Friday night and assume Saturday morning still wants the same spend. Walk the ring first. Then open the table. Then scoop. Patch day is when people drown in old habits: they circle, they dump into a missing wall, they swim, they come home to air.

If a named drop appears in the water after a weekly load, it still follows the same rule. Table food first. Vanity last. We will put a named piece on gear when it exists. We will not invent a crate type to look complete.

A simple gather hour

1. Close the door.
2. Unlock or hotbar the gather tool.
3. Circle the hull until the bag is heavy.
4. Dump, feed the table, print the next priority row.
5. Only then look at a neighbor’s pallet.

That hour fills a ring. The next hour can steal. If you reverse them, you donate the hour you already played. Protect what you just gathered with how to protect loot and how to defend.

If you only remember one line: the fastest wood is the crate you still own. Horizon crates, ego raids, and open-door AFK farms all look busy. The boring orbit is the one that still has a chest when the loud lobby logs off.
