Build and Defend Your Raft How to Raid Other Rafts

Steal from open pallets, skip fortresses, and never leave your own chest door swinging.

How to Raid Other Rafts

The Roblox description ends on a threat: break into other rafts and steal their loot. That is not optional flavor. It is the late-loop economy. Wood you did not want to float for, someone else already stacked. This guide is how to take it without donating your own hour.

Do not start here on a four-plank spawn. Finish Getting Started and how to defend first. A raid with no home ring is just delivering crates to a better builder.

Pick the right victim

Scan the lobby the way the promo art teaches you. The frowning avatar on a pallet is a target. The plated box with roof guns, spikes, and a glowing chest room is a project. Unless you brought a crew, skip the fortress.

Green flags:

  • Chests visible from the water
  • Missing wall on one side
  • No gunner on the roof
  • A long dock you can walk
  • Owner AFK at the Crafting Table with the door open

Red flags:

  • Spiked skirt plus plates
  • Cannons covering the only ladder
  • Two avatars already home
  • A second floor with no obvious hatch (they will drop on you)

Raft layouts explain why skinny docks leak. Use that when you scout.

Before you swim, run the loot checklist. Door closed. Chests inner. Table not on the lip. If any row is red, you are farming for someone else. Solo players should treat this as law. Crews can leave an anchor on the gun.

Travel light. Take a gather tool, a cheap fight tool, and empty bag space. You are there to steal, not to fashion week on their roof. Raid loadouts splits light, break, and haul kits.

The board

Approach from a side without a cannon silhouette. Climb fast. Do not emote. Look for the chest glow — official art puts blue chests inside, not on the welcome mat, but bad builders ignore that. Grab, turn, leave the way you came unless that ladder is now camped. A second exit is why you should not raid mazes; you will get lost in their clutter.

If the owner is home, you are in a fight, not a shopping trip. Break contact if the ring closes. A failed raid still costs time. A failed raid plus a death costs the kit you carried and maybe a counter-board on your open door if you forgot the checklist.

Getting home

Swim with a plan. Do not tour the server with a stolen crate. Every extra second is a beacon. Climb your own ladder, dump into storage, close the door, then breathe. Restock walls if they chipped you on the way out. Only then look at a second target.

If you died, assume your home was also hit. Spawn, check the chest room, repair, then decide whether revenge is worth it. Revenge on a plated raft is how tilt writes this guide’s bad ending.

Economy of raids

Raids should buy table tiers and plates, not a matching furniture set. If the crate you stole is less than the cost of the kit you risked, you took a loss with extra steps. Quiet servers are for building. Loud servers are for picking one weak pallet and leaving.

Codes, when they exist, are a better wood spike than a sloppy raid. Check codes on Saturday before you swim.

Scripts and ESP

ESP that paints every raft is common in this genre and a report magnet. Auto-raid macros will also click your own walls. If you still want injectors, that conversation is on scripts, not a substitute for scouting with your camera. Controls already tell you to raise the pitch so you can see silhouettes from the water.

After a Saturday patch

Raid tools, harpoons, and wall HP can shift. Test a dummy swing on your own spike before you assume last week’s break time still holds. Notes go on Saturday patches. The gear list will move a tool up or down if a recipe changes.

Raid when your ring is boring and their ring is not. That is the whole skill.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for raft builders and raiders.

How do I raid in Build and Defend Your Raft?

Close your own door, swim to an open pallet, grab visible chests, and return immediately. Skip plated fortresses until you have a crew.

What if the owner is home?

Treat it as a fight. If the ring closes, leave. A wipe on their deck often means a wipe on yours next.

Can I raid in hour one?

You can. You should not. Fortify first with how to defend.
